Saigon is a lovable city. It has a rich culture expressed through its lovely people, its delightful sidewalk eateries and its greenery alleys. Nevertheless, the most iconic symbols of Saigon may be its modernist architectural structures which are the story tellers of the city. One can find various inspirational shapes, textures, patterns just by either walking by a random house on a street or standing in a historical building.

For Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Souvenir Design Contest 2022, The Sun Lab and Giao decided to make a collection of souvenirs inspired by Sai Gon architectural features. The collection was named 'Một Hộp' which meaned 'A Box' to imply that Saigon was a surprise box. The team's first three prototypes were inspired by The Turtle Lake, The Independence Palace and The Notre Dame Cathedral. The three architectures create a triangle in the city’s center. Their existence shows that Saigon not only has an important political role but also is an encouraging environment for cultural development.

As there are plenty of impressive modernist buildings and appealing details in every corner of the city, the collection can be expanded without limits.
